# Output Format: Gherkin

Output test cases in Cucumber/Gherkin syntax for automated test frameworks.

## Structure

- Feature blocks with Scenario/Scenario Outline
- Given/When/Then steps following BDD conventions
- Examples tables for data-driven tests (Scenario Outline)
- Tags for categorization (@positive, @negative, @regression)

## Example Output

```gherkin
Feature: User Authentication
  Scenario: FP-01 - Successful login with valid credentials
    Given the user is on the login page
    When the user enters valid username "testuser" and password "Test123!"
    Then the user should be redirected to the dashboard
    And a welcome message should be displayed
  Scenario Outline: FN-01 - Login fails with invalid credentials
    Given the user is on the login page
    When the user enters username "<username>" and password "<password>"
    Then an error message "<error>" should be displayed
    Examples:
      | username  | password | error                    |
      | invalid   | Test123! | Invalid username         |
      | testuser  | wrong    | Invalid password         |
```

## When to Use

- Teams using Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar BDD frameworks
- Test cases that will be automated
- When traceability to requirements via tags is needed
- Integration with CI/CD pipelines
